We began writing with the prompt "Fall is a Wonderful Season". I am completely impressed with what the kids came up with!!! We are going to work on organizing our writing first, and then move into adding more details. By the end of the first trimester, I expect that all the children will have a good opening, 3-4 paragraphs about the topic, and a nice conclusion. Keeping a journal at home is a great way to encourage written expression.
